Ice Edge Introduces 64 Bit Capability in Dublin ICE
CALGARY— Ice Edge Business Solutions announces the release of Dublin ICE®, the newest version of its award-winning 3D software for designers, furniture specifiers and manufacturers.
Dublin ICE builds on ICE’s trademark Java-based interactive design, imaging and specification capabilities by offering compatibility with the 64 bit operating system. This translates into boosted user productivity by granting the ability to create and work on ICE files up to three times larger than previous ICE versions allowed.
“Dublin is a result of our continuous commitment to increase design efficiency and enhance the experience for ICE software users,” says Ice Edge’s Mark Greffen. “We’re excited about this new 64 bit capability.”
An updated ICEcad tool option provides an enhanced link between ICE and AutoCAD, lending itself to seamless integration between the two programs. From an interface standpoint, Dublin’s introduction of ICE commands on the AutoCAD ribbon provides a general look and feel familiar to AutoCAD users. Users will also have the ability to import AutoCAD DWG files directly into ICE.
“The features of Dublin let users take advantage of the full capability of computing technology available today,” says Greffen.
Moving design and manufacturing data onto the ICE platform speeds up the design process for clients while allowing them to accurately visualize the interiors of their workspaces. ICE improves top-line profitability by giving clients a clear, understandable, graphical presentation of their space and it supports the bottom-line by helping to eliminate human error and improve lead-times and efficiencies. Dublin is compatible with the more than 30 furniture manufacturer catalogs currently available for use on the ICE platform.
About Ice Edge Business Solutions
Ice Edge Business Solutions produces ICE software — a platform-based technology for design, specification and sales, in addition to downstream applications for manufacturing and delivery. Patented for the use of video game technology in a design software application, ICE provides a dynamic 3D experience with real time take-offs and pricing. ICE improves topline profitability through an engaging, understandable 3D presentation, while improving the bottom-line by eliminating human error, shortening lead-times and increasing efficiencies. www.ice-edge.com
